Goal
Learn how to finish sequences in Repeat the bead.
Play in steps
STEP
1
Put an assignment strip on
the magnetic strip.
STEP
2
Thread the pattern shown on the assignment
strip, repeating it several times.
STEP
3
Determine whether the sequence was
copied correctly by checking it against
the assignment strip.
Ti p s
Put 2 assignment strips on the longer magnetic
strip. Repeat this pattern several times.
One child tells the other child which type
bead to thread.
One child describes the beads on the
assignment strip. The other child memorises
them and threads the pattern accordingly.
Two children each thread the pattern shown
on the assignment strip three times, except
they replace one bead with a different type.
Once they finish, they try to find the 'mistake'
in each other's pattern.
