Install the AED Sentinel Monitoring Hardware
3.
Attach the camera/AED cabinet door mounting system to the cabinet door. The
AED cabinet door mounting system has magnets in the top and bottom mounting
blocks. Magnetically attach the camera to the inside of the cabinet door. In a smaller
AED cabinet, the camera's mounting blocks will attach to the top and bottom of
the metal cabinet door frame. If you are working with a larger cabinet, the bottom
mounting block will rest against the inside of the cabinet window glass. In that case,
you will add the AED cabinet door mounting system window magnet included with
the hardware to the outside of the window, after your camera is properly aimed.
(Instructions for this step are located on page 14 of this installation guide.)

Aim the camera

For AED Sentinel to monitor your AED, the camera lens must be properly aimed at the
AED's status indicator. The AED cabinet door mounting system allows the camera to be
positioned horizontally along the cabinet door and vertically along the rails.
1.
Connect the ribbon cable to the camera. Firmly plug the free end of the ribbon cable
into the rectangular port on the camera. The cable will feed out in the direction of the
camera lens.
If you rotated the camera so
the lens is in the up position,
you will need to thread the
ribbon cable between the
camera and the rail instead of
using the cable management
hook.
Gently pry the camera out of
the hinged-side rail. Insert the
ribbon cable into the space
between the camera and
the rail, back to front. Snap
the rail back into place and
replug the ribbon cable.
