Troubles during cutting

Vibration
Poor cutting
Premature saw blade life
The saw blade is consumable and is certain to reach the end of its
service life after cutting a sufficient amount of work. If it prematurely
comes to the end of its service life, one of the causes described below
may be responsible. Remove the cause, and perform a correct cutting
operation. Do similarly for other symptoms.
Unstraight cut
Saw blade breakage
Cause
Improper saw blade pitch for
height of work being cut.
Saw blade not broken in.
Saw blade running speed too
fast.
Saw blade running speed too
slow.
Saw blade tension too low.
Wire brush worn or not in
proper contact with saw blade.
Saw blade not properly
clamped in saw blade inserts.
Work not properly clamped.
Work surface too hard.
Cutting rate too high.
Cutting fluid flow insufficient or
cutting fluid degraded.
Supply voltage not stable.
Chips colored blue or purple.
Chips built up in saw blade
inserts.
Remedy
Change to saw blade with
proper pitch for height of work
to be cut.
Break in saw blade.
Decrease saw blade running
speed.
Increase saw blade running
speed.
Check hydraulic oil.
Change wire brush or adjust it
to proper position.
Clean and check saw blade
inserts.
Reclamp work.
Remove hardened surface.
Reduce cutting rate to proper
level.
Increase cutting fluid flow or
change cutting fluid.
Use voltage stabilized power
source.
Decrease cutting rate and saw
blade running speed.
Clean saw blade inserts.
