Wander Management Transmitters User Guide

4. Holding the transmitter in place, secure
the band around the wrist or the ankle of
the resident.
5. Insert the end of the band through the
slot on the lock buckle.
6. Adjust the band so that the transmitter is
in a comfortable position on the
resident's wrist or ankle; the band
should be tight enough to prevent the
transmitter from slipping off, and loose
enough to prevent discomfort or
possible edema.
7. Secure the band, by inserting the key
into the lock and turning 1/4 turn to the
left until the small, black dots on the
cam are lined up with the black dots on
the outside of the lock.
8. Verify that the band is secure and that
the lock was latched correctly
9. Place key in safe place away from
residents in order to avoid a resident
using it to remove the transmitter or
accidentally swallowing the key.
WARNING: The Reusable Locking Bands
are intended for use by a single resident
and should not be shared. You should
follow your facility's infection control
procedures, as applicable.
