GENERAL INFORMATION AND WARNINGS Air Box Plug Testing Stock intake boxes are a significant contributor to poor air flow which is why S&B designs custom air boxes with secondary and/ or enlarged openings. With that said, S&B recognizes the benefits of cooler air, so we have included a plug to seal off the opening if so desired. -

INSTALLATION STEPS: With the ignition switched off and the parking brake set, disconnect the Disengage the red locking clip and disconnect the MAF negative battery cable on the driver’s side. Note: Failure to disconnect sensor harness from the MAF sensor. the battery may cause the CEL to illuminate upon completion of the installation and subsequent operation. - Page 7 Twist to remove the engine oil cap and set the cap aside. Locate the vacuum line attached to the engine cover that is located on the passenger side towards the front of the vehicle. Press the tab to disengage the connector from the barb, Reinstall the engine oil cap.
- Page 8 INSTALLATION STEPS: Carefully remove the MAF sensor from the stock intake Install the Quick Connect into the Intake Tube (Filter) box lid. Use the supplied 8-32 Screws (C), MAF Pad (D), until finger tight, then turn it one to two complete turns. Tool Required: 16mm Wrench MAF Gasket to install the sensor onto the Intake Tube...
- Page 9 Install the Tube Seal onto the Air Box (A). Determine if you want to install the Box Plug or leave the secondary inlet open on the Air Box (A). To install the box plug, install the 1/4-20 Bolts (N), Lock Washers (O), and Washers from inside the air box.
- Page 10 INSTALLATION STEPS: Install the Straight Coupler with Hose Clamps #60 onto the straight side of the Intake Tube (Throttle Body) (J). Slide the coupler up onto the intake tube as much as possible. This will help make the install easier. Install the Intake Tube (Throttle Body) into the Step Coupler (H).
- Page 11 Place the Air Filter into the Air Box (A). Rotate the air Press the Lid Seal into the groove in the Air Box (A). filter into position as shown below and tighten the #80 Hose Clamp (X). Tool Required: 8mm Socket/Wrench Remove the protective covering on the Clear Lid (V).
