In case of similar display as in the picture where in the left display the upper segment of the right digit is
missing, the LCD glass is probably broken.
The only solution is to replace the LCD unit. You can order these at the DGT web shop

  • Page 2 First try to tighten the screws of the window of the display with the missing segments. Be careful not to overturn the screws. Do this with the battery in place. The best option to test your display would be option 12 and then start the clock. If this does not give the desired result then unscrew the three screws on the window on bottom side of the clock, and put peaces of paper or cardboard of about 0.5 mm thickness in the positions as shown in the picture.

Two symmetrical segments are missing When you see a similar situation as in the picture above, a connection between the microcontroller and the printed circuit board is not making good contact.
  • Page 4 Be sure to disconnect the batteries first. This may revive the clock at some occasions. If you can not find any missing contact here, then read the advanced repair manual for the DGT 2000. The chance of reviving such a clock are slim though.
  • Page 5 You can put more pressure on the spring construction by opening the clock and remove 0.5 mm from the center column or the bottom housing with a small file or sand paper. After reassembling the clock you can adjust the "feel" of the lever by tightening or loosening the center screw.
  • Page 6 Most of the types need a pad between the lever and the switch. No effect of the lever switch may be caused by the absence of these pads.
