15. Microphone.
The phone is shown here in the closed position.
When the phone is closed, the keys are locked to
prevent accidental key presses.
1. Jack for a hands-free headset (sold
separately).

Warning: Inserting an accessory into the
incorrect jack will damage the phone.

The phone is operating in IS95 digital mode.
The phone is operating in IS2000 (1X) digital
mode.
The phone is receiving a signal. You can make
and receive calls. Fewer bars indicate a weaker
signal.
A call is in progress.
The phone has a standard speed data
connection.
