14.2 TROUBLESHOOTING

TYPE OF FAULT
The pump does not work (the motor does not turn over)
CAUSE
No electric power
Plug not inserted
Float blocked
Impeller blocked
Thermal protection has
tripped
Faulty motor or capacitor
Hole in the intake cover is
blocked
No-return valve blocked
TYPE OF FAULT
The pump works at a low flow rate
CAUSE
Dirty impeller or delivery
pipes
No-return valve blocked
Water level too low
Wrong voltage
TYPE OF FAULT
The pump stops after brief periods of operation (tripping the thermal protection)
CAUSE
Impeller blocked by
foreign bodies
Liquid temperature too
high
Internal defect

Check the contactor on the electric line
Check power connection to the line
Check that the float reaches ON level
Check cause of blockage
This resets automatically
Contact the nearest distributor
Clean the hole; be certain to disconnect
power
Clean the valve and check its operation
Clean them; be certain to disconnect
power
Clean the valve and check its operation
Switch off the pump
Supply the pump with the correct voltage
indicated on the data plate
Remove the foreign bodies; be certain to
disconnect power
The temperature exceeds the technical
limits of the pump
Contact the nearest Honda pump dealer
