Connect a level meter to the [AUX OUT LEVEL FIXED L] jack and the [AUX
OUT LEVEL FIXED R] jack. (Application load is 10kΩ)
Acceptable level range is as follows.
L, R: -90.0 [dBm] or less
Press the appropriate switch for the number which the 7-seg.LED indicates,
making reference to "Table of MIDI-SW Test Code" (See P. 35),
Make sure that the appropriate note sounds and the LED lights up (if the switch
has a LED), while the switch is pressed and held.
Every time one switch test is finished, the next number is indicated on 7-
seg.LED, so repeat the same procedure.
When the last switch test is finished, the 7-seg.LED indicates the test result as
follows.
When all the switches are OK: PAS
When the plural switches were pressed at the same time: ( S
Press the [DEMO] switch to cancel the test in the middle of it.
Make sure that all LEDs on the panel light up.
Connect a pedal to the [AUX PEDAL] jack.
Make sure that the 7-seg.LED indicates "Str" and note for C3 sounds when
the pedal is depressed.
Make sure that the 7-seg.LED indicates "PAS" and note for C4 sounds when
the pedal is released.
Connect a pedal to the [SUSTAIN PEDAL] jack.
Make sure that the 7-seg.LED indicates "Str" and note for C3 sounds when
the pedal is depressed.
Make sure that the 7-seg.LED indicates "PAS" and note for C4 sounds when
the pedal is released.
Connect the [MIDI IN] terminal and the [MIDI OUT] terminal with a MIDI cable.
When the test runs, 7-seg.LED indicates "Snd", and in the next, it indicates the
test result as follows.
When the result is good: PAS
When the result is no good: nG
Connect a serial cable, in which pin 3 and pin 5, pin 6 and pin 8 are short-cir-
cuited respectively, to the [TO HOST] terminal.
Run the test and make sure that the appropriate note (see below) sounds accord-
ing to the position of the {HOST SELECT] switch.
MAC: C5
PC1: C3
PC2: C4
When the [HOST SELECT] switch is set to "MAC", monitor a waveform from
pin 1 by using an oscilloscope and make sure that 1 MHz clock is output.
This test checks all the ROMs.
The 7-seg.LED indicates the test result as follows.
When the result is good: PAS
When the result is no good: nG
