PSR-9000 015:TG1 Chk Produces the sine wave sequence by changing the sound channels (1ch-64ch) in order from A0 toC6. Confirm that there is no noise. After autoscaling is finished, individual keys can be played. (If playing two or more keys simultaneously, the key pressed first has priority to make a sound.) When the voice switch is pressed, the tone of the voice will sound.
Page 39
PSR-9000 033:MUTE When the [NEXT/BACK] button is pressed, check that the 1 kHz sine wave tone will stop from excluding the speaker and LOOP SEND(L/L+R), and repress it again, the sound will appear. If the plug is inserted into LOOP SEND(L/L+R), the tone from speaker will stop. 034:D/A Noise Check DAC noise.
PSR-9000 071:PC Keyboard Chk Connect the PC keyboard. Check that the LCD will displays "OK". 072:Data Ver. Chk After reading in the system backup disk, check the version for each data in flash memory. 073:Factory Set All RAMs are initialized and reset to factory setting data when this test is executed. 074:Test Exit The test program is exited when this test is executed.
PSR-9000 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION • The speakers produce a “pop” sound whenever the power is This is normal and is no cause for alarm. turned ON or OFF. • When using a mobile phone, noise is produced. Using a mobile phone in close proximity to the PSR-9000 may produce in- terference.
Page 42
PSR-9000 PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION • MIDI data is not transmitted or received via the MIDI A termi- The MIDI terminals can only be used when the HOST SELECT switch is set to “MIDI.” All other settings (“Mac,” “PC-1” and “PC-2”) are for direct nals, even when MIDI cables are connected properly.
Page 44
PSR-9000 The tracks for each channel can be selected on the panel. See page 43 for more information. The tone generator normally functions as a 16-channel multi-timber tone generator in response to MIDI input. MIDI messages therefore do not normally affect the panel voices or other panel settings. The MIDI messages listed below, however,do affect the panel voice, style, Multi Pad, and song settings.
