Table 8 summarizes the symbology used in presenting many devices found in the instrument. The logic
symbols used in this manual are based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)

information;
Circled letter

Look for same

on the indicated
service sheet.
Hire color code.
Code used
(MIL-STD-681)
is the same
as the resistor
color code.
First number
identifies the
base color.
second number
the wider stripe.
and the third
number the
narrower stripe.
Example:
ED
denotes white base.
yellow wide stripe.
violet narrow stripe.
Reference
designations
within outlined
assemblies are
abbreviated. Full
designation includes
assembly number;
for example.
Rl of assembly
A2 is A2R1.
Designations of
other components
are complete
as shown.
Large numbers
in lower
right corners of

are service
sheet numbers.
