Setting Up the Pro 550 Plus System
Before you can use the Pro 550 Plus system, you must set up
the devices.

Charge the handheld device

Current dog selection. Indicates the dog collar device currently
selected with the toggle switch.
If the dog is moving, no icon appears.

• To turn the backlight on or off, press the power key.
NOTE: The backlight turns off automatically after 30
seconds.

Charging the Handheld Device
To prevent corrosion, thoroughly dry the USB port, the weather
cap, and the surrounding area before charging or connecting to
a computer.
You should fully charge the battery before you use the device for
the first time or whenever the battery is low

device is not in use. Charging a fully depleted battery takes
about 2 hours.
NOTE: The device is fully functional while charging when using
an AC power adapter. The device will not charge when it is
