Water filled support tubes: This method can be handy for setting up the rink in windy conditions since the weight of the water in the tubes will hold it in place. Once these side tubes freeze, it will create a very rigid form for freezing the rink.
FIRST ICE Begin filling the rink liner with water. CAUTION! Do not fill the rink liner entirely at one time. Attempting to create thick ice at once will result in trapped air bubbles and a bumpy surface.
For best results, use very thin water layers to resurface your rink. RAVE Sports recommends that you occasionally scrape the surface of the ice with a plastic snow shovel (metal shovels do not work as well) to remove snow, ice chips, and other items as needed.
