Formatting the Memory Stick
You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely
delete all images and options on the Memory Stick ,
including protected images.
The format function restores the Memory Stick to its initial
states.
The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has been
formatted already.

Attention

If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function, all images
will be erased completely and erased images cannot be
recovered.
1. Set the power switch to M.PLAY mode
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY and push the
MENU DIAL.
The sub menu will appear.
4. Select FORMAT from the list and push the MENU DIAL.
5. "ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?" appears on
the screen.
6. Using the MENU DIAL, select the item.
NO : To return to previous menu
YES : To start formatting.
7. Push the MENU DIAL.
8. To exit the menu, press the MENU button.
Note
"Memory stick" formatted on the PC with the USB adaptor (not
supplied) do not have a guaranteed compatibility with this
camcorder.
If you want to format the Memory Stick on the PC, use the
"Memory Stick formatter" supplied with the software CD.

Formateado de un Memory Stick

Para eliminar por completo las imágenes y las opciones del
Memory Stick se pueden emplear las funciones MEMORY
FORMAT (formato de memoria).
La función Formato restablece el Memory Stick a su estado
original.
El Memory Stick que se suministra junto con la videocámara ya
está formateado.
Atención
Si ejecuta la función MEMORY FORMAT, todas las
imágenes se borran y no se pueden recuperar.
1. Ajuste el interruptor de la videocámara en la modalidad M.PLAY.
2. Pulse el botón MENÚ.
3. Gire el DIAL MENÚ hasta resaltar MEMORY y después púlselo.
Aparecerá el submenú.
4. Seleccione en la lista la opción FORMAT y pulse el DIAL
MENÚ.
5. Aparecerá en la pantalla la señal: "ALL FILES ARE DELETED!
FORMAT REALLY?" (¡Todos los archivos están borrados! ¿Está
seguro de que desea formatear?)
6. Seleccione la opción por medio del DIAL MENÚ.
NO: Se regresa al menú anterior.
YES (sí): Comienza el formateado.
7. Pulse el DIAL MENÚ.
8. Para salir del menú, pulse el botón MENÚ.
Nota
Si el de formato al Memory Stick en un ordenador mediante el
adaptador USB (no incluido), no se garantiza que sea
compatible con esta videocámara.
Si desea dar formato al Memory Stick en un ordenador, use el
"Memory Stick formatter", que se suministra en el CD de
software.
