    Front Panel Connections and Controls Microphone/Instruments/Line Inputs. Your Studio-series interface is equipped with PreSonus XMAX microphone preamplifiers for use with all types of microphones. The XMAX has a Class A input buffer, followed by a dual-servo gain stage. This arrangement results in ultra-low noise and wide gain control, allowing you to boost signals without increasing background noise.

    UC Surface are included in the Universal Control installer for macOS and Windows. You can download the installer from your My PreSonus user account. To begin, you must first visit My.PreSonus.com and create or log into your user account and register your Studio-series. Once registered, all software downloads will be available from within your My PreSonus user account.

    UC Surface Launch Window Universal Control is a powerful hardware-management application for all PreSonus interface products. It allows you to view any PreSonus interface product connected to your computer or your computer’s network. When Universal Control is launched, you will see the Launch window.

When Loopback is enabled and “Merge Loopback with 1/2” is selected, the audio from another application will be recorded with the audio source connected to analog inputs 1 and 2 on your Studio-series interfaces.

These low-latency mixes give you the ability to monitor your inputs with minimal latency.

By default, it will choose a PreSonus driver if one is available. Power User Tip: If your device has zero-latency monitoring functionality from within Studio One, you will see the Z-mix icon.
