The purpose of this manual is to provide the information and basic drawings required for the physical installation of the EM 2040. For more detailed information about the practical use of the EM 2040, refer to the Operator manual and/or the Reference manual.

Ethernet switch A high capacity Ethernet switch is sometimes required. If you use more than one Processing Unit in your EM 2040 system, you must use an Ethernet switch to connect each Processing Unit to the Hydrographic Work Station. A high capacity Ethernet switch (1000BASE-T) is included in the EM 2040 delivery.
