Machining Procedure
Valve machining is required :
- When the valve is leaking.
- When replacing the valve.
- When replacing the valve guide.
- When replacing the valve seat or valve seat ring.
1. Machine the valve seat (a=45° ).
2. Measure valve seat width 'b'.

3. If the specification is exceeded, the valve seat width has to
be corrected at the lower free angle of '
4. Measure radial runout.
Runout
1.2 - 1.7 mm
1.5 - 2.0 mm
