Do not use an extension cord with this appliance. If the power cord is too short, have a qualified electrician or service technician install an outlet near the appliance. Use of an extension cord can negatively affect the performance of the unit.
HELPFUL HINTS: Defrosting usually takes a few hours. Leaving the door open will help speed up the process. Also, pouring warm water (not boiling) on the ice/frost will help. If you must use a scraper- please use caution - it is very easy to damage the freezer compartment and void your warranty.
