7.21 Bag-Empty-Control and change

When rinsing the fruit juice dispenser (transition Standby => Normal), the reference value for

water is determined at the end of the rinsing process. This in addition to the „reference mini-

mum" offset is used for the plausibility check of the juice reference value. The juice reference va-

lue is determined after a bag change and is also saved in a power-failure-proof manner.

Two mechanisms monitor the dispensing process to detect an empty bag:

If the „empty bag threshold juice x" relative to the respective juice reference value falls

short for at least 300ms.

If the reference value jumps, i.e. concentrate is still sporadically flowing out of the bag,

causing the reference value to jump between water and juice. This jumping is detected

in a special filter and if a further threshold (0.25 * juice reference value) is exceeded for

300ms, it is also recorded as an empty bag event. If no valid juice reference value has yet

been recorded, a replacement value of 150 (15.0 in the PC tool) is calculated.

Example:

The juice value reference is 700. The parameter „Empty bag threshold juice 1" is set to

85%, i.e. the threshold is 595. The filtered reference value does not go below the threshold

for long enough to detect an empty bag. Also, the filter for the reference value jumps

does not exceed the second threshold for long enough.

If a bag empty was detected, the dispensing process is aborted immediately and the juice line is

deactivated. The empty bag is signaled by double flashing of the corresponding juice line but-

ton for 30 seconds. Thereafter, the illumination of the button switches off.

After changing the bag, the operator must press the grey Service-Button to select the Bag-Me-

nu („bA9"). By pressing the corresponding juice line button for 3 seconds the change of the bag

is confirmed. The bag counter is incremented and the Bag-Empty-Control is deactivated for the

next 10 dispensing operations.

With the activation of the Bag-Empty-Control, the new reference value for the conductivity va-

lue of the juice is saved.
