can capture as much detail as possible, and that your subject will not become too dark in the
video. If it is daytime, make sure there is enough natural sun light in the room. Open windows
and turn on lights to ensure adequate lighting.
Taking video in dim lighting conditions can lead to poor quality video or a decrease in frame
rate. We suggest trying different lighting levels before trying to take video that will be very
important for you to keep. This way you will know if you need more light before losing that
special clip.
Hold the Camera Steady
The StyleCam Deluxe is very compact and light-weight and it is important that you hold the
camera steady when recording a video. Jiggling the camera or moving fast with the camera
may cause the video to blur or to shake.
For better video quality, we recommend that you use a tripod and place the tripod with the
camera on a flat surface.
Change of Light Source
When capture a video, the camera needs time to adjust to new light source. The camera may
not change light metering if you move from one area to another. For example, if you want to
take a video from a darker setting (e.g. inside a room) to a brighter setting (in the backyard),
we recommend that you end the video first, and then start another clip. This would give the
camera a chance to adjust to the new light source.
Proper Use of Camera
It is important that you understand how to use the camera completely before capturing a
video. When starting the video clip, press the shutter button slowly and firmly. Pushing it fast
will lead to the first few seconds of the video to become wobbly while you adjust the camera
into the proper position.
