horizontal processing circuit. The 10bit signal is then output to IC4001 for picture
enhancement and digital to analog conve
rsion.
The RGB output of IC4001 and the OSD (On Screen Display) RGB output of the
television MPU, IC1002, enter the RGB amplifier IC4011. A switching circuit
combines the two RGB signals for display on the screen. The output of IC4011 is
applied to the CRT neck boards and subsequently to the CRTs.

480p and 1080i Signal Process

If
the incoming video is in the 480p and 1080i format, the main Y signal is
converted to digital by IC4351 and output to IC4002. The A/D converter inside
IC4001 converts the color signals to digital. The data of the color signals
bypasses the comb filter and chroma demodulator circuits and enters IC4002.
The 480p and 1080i signal formats go through IC4002 without alterations and a
re
output to IC4501. The 480p signal is
converted to 540p while the 1080i signal
s
imply passes through the IC. The remaining process is the same as NTSC and
480i.
