Adjusting the tilt angle

Adjusting the pan angle
The tension of the pan movement on the Aureol BeamSpot is adjusted by tightening or
loosening the Tilt lock nut at the top of the yoke.
Tighten or loosen the nut until you feel comfortable with the amount of tension on the pan
movement. This will largely depend on how often you plan to change the pan angle for the
spot. If you are not planning on adjusting the spot after you have set it, turn the Pan locking
nut clockwise as far as you can to lock it. To lock the spot into position permanently to avoid
it being moved if bumped, you can also use an M4 Allen key to tighten the Pan lock off screw
on the side of the Pan locking nut.

Take care not to burn yourself when you adjust the Aureol.
Should you wish to permanently lock the BeamSpot into the tilt position you have
set, use an M4 Allen key to tighten the tilt locking screw on the left side of the Spot.
The procedure for inserting colour filters or accessories into the BeamSpot is
the same as for re-lamping.
Loosen the lid locking screw and open the lamp compartment lid. Push the
lamp retaining spring clip aside to insert colour or glass media into one of the
two central slots (the lamp retaining clip does not affect the front accessory
slot). The two central slots are for media as follows: the rear slot is for media
such as colour dichroic filter that is up to 2.5mm thick. The front slot is for
other media that is less than 4mm thick, such as UV glass, or beam spreader
filters. Both slots can take media that is 50mm round or square.
The very front slot is designed to take the Aureol barndoor, snoot, or
BeamShaper accessory.
Once the appropriate colour or accessory has been inserted, close the lid and
lock it. Take care with square colour media that the lid does not chip the
corners as it gets closed.
