L o cate the counterweight bar and counterweight. Slide the
counterweight half way down the counterweight bar and
tighten the locking screw to secure in place.

The longer cable should attach to the R i ght Ascension ax i s
and the shorter cable attaches to the D e clination ax i s --
tighten screw to secure in place.

R e attach both knobs and tighten to secure in place. The
focuser end of the telescope should be ov e r the
counterweight assembly.

L o osen the screw on the focuser so that it does not obstruct
the inner diameter of the focuser. R e mov e the plastic cap
cov e ring the end of the focuser.

For additional magnification, you can use the included 3x
barlow. Place the barlow in the focuser in place of the
eyepiece - remov e the cap from the barlow.

Thread the threaded end of the counterweight bar into the
D e c ax i s of the eq u atorial mount.

B e fore mounting the tube, remov e the two knobs on the tube
rings.

L o cate the finderscope and remov e plastic caps on front and
back of lens. R e mov e the knurled nuts on the threaded posts
at the focuser end of the telescope tube.

I n sert the chrome barrel of the 20mm eyepiece into the
focuser and tighten the screws.

Place the eyepiece into the barlow and tighten the set screw
to secure in place.

Slide the chrome end of the slow motion control cables onto
eq u atorial mount gear shaft and tighten screw to secure in
place.

Place the tube on the mount by lining up the screws with the
mounting holes on the mount.

Orient the finderscope so that the glass window is facing
towards the front of the tube. Place finderscope ov e r the
posts on the tube and tighten it down with the knurled nuts.

R e mov e the lens cap from the front of the telescope. To
observ e , look through the eyepiece as shown abov e .
