MIDI Tab

Live Rack supports the ability to remotely recall
Snapshots via MIDI Bank/Program change
commands, and set the tempo used for the
Tempo Sync feature.
MIDI data is received by Live Rack via the
macOS operating system. To verify and/or
configure MIDI devices, use the Audio MIDI
Setup application included with the OS at:
• /Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app>MIDI Window

MIDI Device Menu

Sets the MIDI device to be used as the source for MIDI control. To set the device, click
the MIDI DEVICE drop menu and choose a new device from the menu.
Note: Only devices configured in Audio MIDI Setup.app are available for selection
in this menu.

MIDI Channel Field

Specifies the MIDI channel to be used for MIDI control. To set the channel, click the
MIDI CHANNEL field and enter a numerical value between 1 – 16.

MIDI Tap Tempo

Live Rack can receive note or controller data for MIDI control of Tap Tempo. These two
settings define the MIDI data type and value used for MIDI control. For instructions, see
"Changing tempo values via MIDI" on page
MIDI Type Menu
Sets the MIDI data type to be used as the source for MIDI control. To set the data type,
click the drop menu and choose CONTROLLER or NOTE from the menu.
MIDI Value Field
Sets the MIDI data value to be used as the source for MIDI control. To set the data value,
click the field and enter a numerical value between 0 – 127.
When NOTE is used as the MIDI type, the table below can be used as a reference for
MIDI note values.
