Overload condition.
Incorrect Plug-In Horsepower
Resistor .

CL and/or IR Trimpots may be set
incorrectly.
Defective speed control module.
Voltage Select Switch set to wrong
position.
Defective motor, worn brushes, etc.
MIN speed trimpot set higher than
0% of base speed.
IR Comp trimpot set too high.
Motor armature leads are reversed.
Suggested Corrective Action
Remove overload.
Install the correct Plug-In
Horsepower Resistor . See Table

Readjust the CL and/or IR Trimpots,
as described in Section 7.
Replace speed control.
Recheck line voltage and the
correct setting of the Voltage Select
Switch, as described in Section 6.
Repair or replace motor.
Readjust the MIN Trimpot, as
described in Section 7.
Readjust the IR Trimpot, as
described in Section 7.
Reconnect motor armature leads.
