    RODUCT VERVIEW Thank you for choosing the miniDSP Wi-DG. The Wi-DG is a tiny adaptor that interfaces to the USB port of a miniDSP hardware unit and acts as a Wi-Fi to USB bridge. Supported miniDSP plugins transparently detect and communicate with the miniDSP via the Wi-DG, enabling control and configuration over the network.

    Wi-DG and Wi-Fi. Note that the computer will not be able to access other networks when it is joined to the Wi-DG’s network, and therefore will typically not have Internet access. (Assuming the computer does not have additional network connections, such as a separate Ethernet connection.)

    • In AP Mode: blinks 3 times per second (green/amber) if a computer is joined to its network. • In Station Mode: blinks once per second if the Wi-DG is connected to a Wi-Fi network and data is being transmitted (i.e. if the plugin is running on your computer).

    3.3 W PASSWORD SETUP The first time you connect to the Wi-DG, you will need to enter a password. This password will enable you to log in to the Wi-DG. Enter a password of at least six characters (letters and number) and press SUBMIT.

    ECOVERY In the event of errors in the Wi-DG settings, or if you have forgotten the login password, you can restore it to its default state. In the default state, the login account name is “root” and the password is blank. There is also no security password on the Wi-DG’s Wi-Fi network.
  • Page 18: Setting The Keep-Alive Time

    The keep-alive time is the maximum time the plugin software waits for the arrival of UDP broadcast messages from the Wi-DG. If no UDP broadcast messages are received in this time, the plugin will treat the miniDSP hardware unit as disconnected.
