Device Identity
By default, the Anybus CompactCom module appears as a generic HMS Industrial Networks
AB device with the following network identity:
Vendor Name
Model Name
Ident Number
It is possible to customize the network identity information so that the Anybus module appears
as a vendor specific implementation rather than a generic HMS Industrial Networks AB product.
The PROFIBUS I&M-functionality (Identification & Maintenance) provides a standard way of
gathering information about an I/O device. The I&M information is accessed by the master by
means of the Call State Machine using DP-V1 read/write services.
By default, Anybus module supports I&M records 0... 4 for slot #0 (which is the device itself).
Optionally, the host application can implement the commands Get_IM_Record and Set_IM_Re-
cord'-commands
