Floor Protection

This cookstove is designed to prevent the floor from overheating. However, it should always be installed
on a nonflammable surface to protect the floor from the hot embers that could fall on the floor while
you are loading or maintaining the cooking stove.
The cooking stove must be installed on a continuous non-combustible surface such as ceramic*, a
concrete panel, brick or any other equivalent material approved for floor protection. No «R» factor is
required for the floor protection.
*Ceramic must be installed on a continuous non-combustible panel to avoid contact with the floor through cracks or lack of ceramic grout. Check
your local code for any approved alternatives.
The floor protection is limited to the back clearance (A) if it is less than 8" (203 mm).
