UK Jam: The ultimate wireless speaker!
Thank you for purchasing the HMDX jam wireless speaker for smartphones, tablets, notebook computers and other Bluetooth enabled
devices.
Please read these instructions and keep them for easy reference.

Charging the unit

Allow approximately 3 hours for a full charge. The unit can be charged by using the USB to Micro USB cord (included) through a
computer or AC adapter with a USB jack (not included).
Note: The battery will last up to 4 hours when connected wirelessly and up to 12 hours when connected through an Aux-In Audio
Jack.

Listening to your device wirelessly over Bluetooth®
To listen to your music over Bluetooth wireless connection, you need to pair your device with HMDX Jam:
1. Make sure your device has Bluetooth capability.
2. Slide POWER SWITCH to turn on the unit, indicator will begin to flash.
3. Follow the instructions of your device to pair the unit.
4. Pair your device with the unit by selecting HMDX Jam from your Bluetooth listings on your device or selecting YES. If prompted,
enter "0000" as the passcode.
5. Press play on your device and use controls on the unit to adjust desired volume.
Note: Once you have successfully paired your device, you typically will not need to repeat the above steps. Please ensure the unit
source is set to Bluetooth and your device has Bluetooth enabled.

Listening to your device through the Auxiliary Line-In Audio Jack

1. Connect Aux-in cable to the headphone or line-out jack of an audio device and plug the other end of the cable into the Line-In
Audio Jack on the back of the unit.
2. Slide the POWER SWITCH to turn on the unit.
3. Press PLAY on the device and use controls on the unit to adjust desired volume.

• Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a bath or sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
• Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord, plug, cable or housing. If it is not working properly, if it has been dropped
or damaged, return it to Homedics Service Centre for examination and repair.
• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• Only set on dry surfaces. Do not place on surface wet from water or cleaning solvents.

Instructions to remove battery

Tools required: small crosshead screwdriver, pair of cutters
The built in rechargeable battery in your Jam product contains substances that may pollute the environment. Therefore always
remove the battery before you discard the product. Dispose of the battery at an official collection point for batteries.
Only remove the rechargeable battery at the end of the products life and make sure the battery is fully discharged before removing it.
1. Remove the rubber ring from the base of the product.
2. Undo the 4 screws, to separate the bottom panel.

Battery Directive

This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in the domestic waste as they contain substances which can be
damaging to the environment and health. Please dispose of batteries in designated collection points.

WEEE explanation

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent
possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the
sustainable reuse of material resources.

Guarantee

HoMedics Inc. guarantees this product from defect in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase,
except as noted below. This HoMedics product guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment
of any unauthorised accessory; alteration to the product; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.
This guarantee is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the UK / EU. A product that requires modification or
adaptation to enable it to operate in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and /
or authorised, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this guarantee. HoMedics shall not be
responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special damages. To obtain service under the guarantee provided with this
product within the first year of purchase, please return the product to the retailer from where the product was bought, along with your
proof of purchase, such as a dated sales receipt. Upon receipt, the retailer will repair or replace your product, as appropriate. If you
are unable to return the product to the retailer or the product is older than 1 year, please contact HoMedics customer services, Tel.
