Explanation of Jacks and Cables You can connect other components to your TV/DVD player such as a VCR, video camera, or audio receiver. There are several ways to connect other components to your TV/DVD player depending upon the cables you have and the jacks that are on the back of the components.
Connections and Setup Digital Audio Out/Coaxial Jack Use this jack to connect your TV/DVD Player to a Dolby* Digital or DTS receiver or decoder. *Manufactured under license from Dolby Laboratories. “Dolby” and the double-D symbol are trademarks of Dolby Laboratories. The Buttons on the Remote Control INPUT Press it to switch between AV/DVD input and RF (antenna) input. MUTE POWER TV Press to place the remote control in TV mode. MUTE Press to reduce the volume level. Press again to restore the volume. DISPLAY Press to display channel information PICTURE Press to display the picture preset.
The Remote Control DVD Function Buttons DVD Puts the remote in DVD mode. MUTE POWER POWER Turns the TV on or off. VOL (left and right) buttons Press the buttons to increase or decrease the TV volume. MUTE Reduces the TV’s volume to its minimum level. Press again to restore the volume.

Playing Discs DVD Basics Regional Coding The DVD player and the discs are coded by region. These regional codes must match in order for the disc to play. This unit’s code is Region 1. Discs with other regional codes can’t be played in this unit. Using Different Menus Each disc is programmed with different features.
