3 Hardware Description
This section focuses on the options provided by the hardware of NetCom Plus Serial Device
Servers.
3.1 Serial Port Configuration
The serial ports in the NetCom
it is also possible to use the serial ports in RS422 or RS485 mode. This is defined by a set of
DIP switches or by software. Here is a list of the available modes and the switch settings. Table
shows the DIP positions. The light end is the position where the switch is pushed to.
Warning: a bad configuration may cause serious damage in the NetCom
