(3) Removal of the Housing Ass'y [21] <21> and the Body Ass'y [42] <44> (Fig. 3)
(a) Loosen the two Machine Screws M4 x 10 [48] <50> and remove the Shoe Plate [63] <65> and the Shoe
Cushion [62] <64>.
(b) Put a Phillips-head screwdriver through a hole of the Body Ass'y [42] <44> and loosen the Tapping Screw
(W/Flange) D4 x 16 (Black) [29] <29>. Then remove the Housing Ass'y [21] <21>.

(4) Removal of the Armature [4] <4> (Fig. 4)
(a) Loosen the two Brush Caps [27] <27> and remove the two Carbon Brushes (1 Pair) [26] <26>.
(b) Pull out the Armature [4] <4> while hitting the Housing Ass'y [21] <21> with a wooden mallet or plastic
hammer from Pulley (A) [1] <1> side.
* Be careful not to crush the fan and the Dust Plate [8] <8> while hitting the Housing Ass'y [21] <21>.
(c) Remove the Dust Plate [8] <8> and the Fan Guide [9] <9>.
(d) Pulley (A) [1] <1> has left-handed thread. To remove Pulley (A) [1] <1>, hold the Armature [4] <4> with a
vice with care not to damage it and turn Pulley (A) [1] <1> in a clockwise direction with a wrench.
