Exposure Using Log Sampling
Log sampling is capable of reproducing
the entire perceived range of luminance.
High dynamic range cameras also use a
higher bit rate codec. In this chart we have
10 bit sampling (1024 variations).
The Sony FS5 uses 10 bits in HD only.
