Membrane & Electrolyte Replacement
The tip of the probe holds a thin Teflon® membrane and an electrolyte container. Calibration
or reading errors could indicate loss of electrolyte or a dirty/damaged membrane. The
membrane is very delicate and can easily be damaged if it comes in contact with solid objects.
Replace the electrolyte or the membrane as follows:
1. Unscrew the tip and well assembly from the probe handle and drain the old electrolyte
2. Unscrew the probe tip.
3. Remove the white O-ring, remove the old membrane and then carefully install the new
membrane and secure with the O ring.
4. Replace the tip on the well.
5. Fill the well to approximately the half way point with new electrolyte.
6. Screw the tip and well assembly back onto the probe handle. Excess electrolyte may be
forced out through the threads. Wipe clean.
7. Lightly tap the probe to remove any air bubbles.
