12.2. Resetting to the system to the default settings

It may be necessary to restore the default settings of the LifeCloud system if
it fails to react correctly or if you no longer have access to the system.
 To reset the system, hold down the RESET button for approximately 30
seconds. You will hear a short beep after 3 seconds and a long beep after
30 seconds.
 Now release the RESET button. The system will be reset to the default set-
tings and will then reboot. You can now perform the initial start-up again.

13. Using the LifeCloud agent

13.1. Installing the LifeCloud agent

• You can log on to the LifeCloud system on your computer in the local net-
work via the LifeCloud agent. This allows you to access the web interface
as well as the network folders of the LifeCloud system.
How to install the LifeCloud agent:
• Insert the software CD supplied with the system into the disk drive of
your computer and open the Autorun.exe file.
• Follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
• If you want to use the backup software Memeo Instant Backup, you can
also install it in the next step ("Using Memeo Backup" on page 133).
After the installation, you can open the LifeCloud agent via the icon in the
system:
NOTE!
The LifeCloud system will not be detected in the net-
work until all the steps for initial start-up have been
carried out, as instructed in "10. Initial operation" on
page 108.
