The limited warranty set forth below is given by Canon U.S.A
.•
Inc. (Canon U.S.A.) in the United States with respect to the Canon
Consumer Digital Video Products (collectively the "Products")'

when purchased and used in the United
States.
This limited warranty is only effective upon presentation of your Bill of Sale or other proof of purchase. The Products are
warranted under normal
use,
against defective materials or workmanship as follows:
Parts:
Defective parts will be exchanged for new parts or comparable rebuilt parts for a period of one (1) year from the date of
original
purchase.
Labor:
For a period of one (1} year from the date of original
purchase.
labor will be provided free of charge by our factory service
centers or designated service facilities located in the United States.
When returning Products under this
warranty,
you must pre-pay the shipping
charges,
and you must enclose the Bill of Sale or
other proof of purchase with a complete explanation of the problem. During the one (1) year warranty period, repairs will be made
and the Products will be return-shipped to you free of charge. For repairs after the warranty period is over, you will be given
an estimate of the cost of repair and an
opportunity
to approve or disapprove of the repair expense before it is incurred. If you
approve. repairs will be made and the Products will be return-shipped to
you.
(shipping charges apply}. If you disapprove, we will
return-ship the Products at no charge to you.
Non-Canon brand equipment and software that may be distributed with the Products are sold "as is" and without
warranty of any kind by Canon
U.S.A.,
including any implied warranty regarding merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose, and all such warranties are
disclaimed.
The sole
warranty,
if any, with the respect to such non-Canon brand
items is given by the manufacturer or producer thereof.
This limited warranty covers all defects encountered in normal use of the
Products.
and does not apply in the following
cases:
(a}
Loss of or damage to the Products due to abuse, mishandling. improper packaging by you, alteration,
accident,
electrical current
fluctuations,
failure to follow operating
,
maintenance or environmental instructions prescribed
in Canon U.S.A.'s user's manual or services performed by someone other than Canon U.S.A., or an authorized
Products service provider. Without limiting the foregoing, water damage, sand/corrosion
damage,
battery
leakage.
dropping the
camera,
scratches. abrasions or damage to the body, lenses or LCD display will be presumed to have
resulted from
misuse,
abuse or failure to operate the Products as set forth in the operating instructions.
(b)
Use of parts or supplies (other than those sold by Canon U.S.A.} that cause damage to the Products or cause
abnormally frequent service calls or service
problems.
