Settings
Using device options
When you press the Options soft key on the device
list, you can access the following options:
Browse files: allows you to search for data from
other devices and take data directly to your phone.
Rename: allows you to change the name of the
paired device.
Authorise/Unauthorise device: allows you to set
whether or not the phone asks you to permit
connection when other devices try to connect to
your phone.
Delete: allows you to delete the device.
Security
(Menu 9.7)
The Security feature enables you to restrict the use
of your phone by others and to restrict the types of
calls made.
Various codes and passwords are used to protect
the features of your phone. They are described in
the following sections. Also see pages 172-174.
PIN check
(Menu 9.7.1)
When the PIN Check feature is enabled, you must
enter your PIN each time you switch on the phone.
Consequently, any person who does not have your
PIN cannot use your phone without your approval.

Change PIN
(Menu 9.7.2)
This feature allows you to change your current PIN
to a new one, provided that the PIN Check feature is
enabled.
Phone lock
(Menu 9.7.3)
When the Phone Lock feature is enabled, the phone
is locked and you must enter a 4- to 8-digit phone
password each time the phone is switched on.
The password is preset to "00000000" at the
factory. To change the phone password, see the
Change password menu.
Change password
(Menu 9.7.4)
The Change Password feature allows you to change
your current phone password to a new one.
The password is preset to "00000000" at the
factory. Once you have entered a new 4- to 8- digit
password, you are asked to confirm it by entering it
again.
Privacy
(Menu 9.7.5)
Using this menu, you can lock your media contents,
such as multimedia messages, e-mails, images,
videos, music files, and sounds. Once you have
locked the contents, you must enter the phone's
password to access phone functions.
