Create a new IM group

Select
Menu

Connect.

when they join the group
Group size
— Specify the maximum number of members allowed to join
the group.
Allow search
— Define if others can find the IM group by searching.
Editing rights
— Scroll to the IM group members to whom you want to
give editing rights and permission to invite contacts to join the group.
Group members
— See "Restrict access to an IM group," p. 111.
Banned
— Display a list of banned users.
Allow private msgs.

— The group ID is created automatically and cannot be
changed.
Edit IM group settings
Select
Menu

Connect.
You can edit the settings for an IM group if you have created the group
or if the creator of the group has given you editing rights. In the
groups
view, scroll to the desired group, and select
Settings. See "Create a new IM group," p. 111.
Restrict access to an IM group
You can make an IM group closed by creating a group members list. Only
the users on the list are allowed to join the group. Select the
view, scroll to the group, and select
Group members

To add a user to the list, select
To remove a user from the list, scroll to the user, and select Remove.
To clear the list and allow all IM users to join the group again, select
Remove
all.
