Section 3
TIP: For longer consumable life do not use the pilot arc unnecessarily. Select the 3 second
pilot arc feature and do not fire the torch unless you are near the metal and ready to cut.
For expanded metal cutting be sure to select "Normal" to re-fire the pilot arc automatically.
FLAME AT NORMAL TRAVEL SPEED
NOTE: When stepping down amps to cut thinner material, you must change to small-
er orifice nozzle. Nozzles are offered in different sizes which are appropriate for differ-
ent amp levels. Too large of a diameter orifice will result in arc instability and a rough
cut. Lowering the air pressure below 65 psi to try to get the torch to cut will only re-
sult in a lazy, wandering arc.
IMPORTANT: Check consumables regularly for wear and change them out before
they are completely worn. Allowing the consumables to wear until they quit working
may damage related torch components, creating a more costly repair.
