Drive Sprocket Types

Drive sprockets transfer power from your machine to your saw
chain to drive it around your guide bar . Drive sprockets are the
third member of your saw chain-based cutting system . They
will wear as a team and should be inspected and maintained as
a team .

*Check the alignment of your rim drive sprocket regularly and
use shims to adjust the rim's position into correct alignment . See
pages 95 for more information on drive sprocket alignment .
