  • Page 2 RPS Studio Plus The RPS RS-SP600 Monolite is the latest technological design in high power professional monolites. Featuring internal fan cooling, replaceable flash tube, and LCD digital back, the SP600 even keeps track each time the flash tube is triggered. All of the settings are controlled on the back of the unit.
  • Page 3 Reading the LCD Digital Display Flash Output “Flash” This is the power ratio selected. 6.0 is full power. As the unit is recycling this number will flash. When the unit is fully powered the number will stop flashing. Ready Beeper Beep sounds once when the flash is recycled and ready to flash.

  • Page 5 To Set the Flash and Modeling Light Output Together Press the Mode button three times. The display will read “M/Lamp and Flash Output” Press the the up/down arrows to adjust the modeling light and flash output. When done, press the “enter” button. The new power output value will show in the display.
  • Page 6 To Set the Photo Cell Press the Mode button five times. The display will read “Photo Cell” Press the up/down arrows to set the photo cell. To Turn the Photo Cell OFF Press the up/down arrows until display reads OFF. Set to this setting, the flash will NOT FLASH when another flash is activated in the same area.

    To Turn the Photo Cell ON and ignore an “Anti-Red Eye” Preflash Press the up/down arrows until display reads 3. Set to this setting, the flash WILL FLASH ON THE THIRD FLASH and IGNORE two “anti-red-eye” flashes, also known as the “preflash,” which some cameras use.
