1. Enter your handset code.
The default handset code is "9999". For details on changing
the handset code, see "Change Handset Code" on page 102.
Note
• Some settings are not deleted by this function. Data stored in
Phonebook, etc. is not deleted.

Call Settings

Answer Phone
(M 9-d-1)
When you cannot answer a call, you can record the caller's
message on your phone. After the answering message is played
back, the caller can record a message. You can also use this
function to record the caller's voice during a call.

1. Select "Switch On/Off".
2. Select "On" to enable this function.
3. Select one of the following options, if necessary.
"Answer Time":
Sets the time before the answering
message is played back when this
function is enabled.
"Guidance Message": The contents of the answering message
can be checked.
"Volume":
Sets whether or not to play the caller's
message while it is being recorded.
Note
• The Answer Phone function is not available when the power is
turned off or when the phone is outside the service area.
• Press F while receiving an incoming call to put the call on
hold.
Tip
• Long press U in standby to enable or disable the Answer
Phone function.
• During a call, press [Options] and select "Record" to record the
caller's voice.
• You can enable Answer Phone for the profiles "Silent" and
"Original".
• Answer Phone is always enabled for the "Car" profile.
