PROBLEM LIKELY CAUSE
Projected image Zoom lens not adjusted
smaller than screen properly, or projector too
close to screen.
Image off-center H. or V. POSIT adjusted
incorrectly.
Compatibility problem.
Misalignment or damage to
optical elements.
No image on the Projector power is off or
computer screen projector is not running.
Lamp is burned out.
Cable not connected.
Streaks on monitor Video cable plugged into
the computer or projector
is upside down.
Faint screen Low intensity.
Jittery, fuzzy letters Out of sync.
Cannot get entire Compatibility problems.

"Shimmering" colors H. PHASE or BRIGHT setting
out of adjustment.
Colors weak in Weak video signal.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S)
Adjust zoom lens or move
projector away from screen
screen.
Adjust H. and/or V. POSIT; if
image will not center, check for
compatibility problems.
Verify projector is image
compatible with one of the
standards listed in Appendix A.
Projector requires service.
Computer must be on for
computer monitor to display.
Turn off projector.
Replace lamp.
Connect cable.
Check cable connections and
projector.
Adjust BRIGHT (brightness)
and CONTRAST settings.
Adjust H. PHASE setting.
Verify projector is image
