If you remove the kettle during heating – before boiling to
automatic shut-off – the blue indicator light will be turned
off but the switch will stay in the ON position. If you place
the kettle back on the power base, the light will turn on
again, indicating that heating continues.
You can always slide the switch downward to the complete
OFF position to shut off the kettle any time.
CLEANING
Always unplug the power cord of power base before cleaning.
Make sure the kettle is cold.
Clean the exterior surface with a clean, damp, soft cloth.
Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring agents.
Rinse out kettle and wipe dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
ATTENTION:
Over time the stainless steel cover of the heating element inside
the bottom of the kettle may change color slightly. This is caused
by the intense heat of the heating element.
If your water has a high iron content, brownish stains may
appear on the stainless steel element (this is also known as
"boiler scale"). These stains can be wiped away with a cloth
and a mild abrasive. Rinse kettle thoroughly with fresh water
afterwards.
Hard water can leave calcium spots inside the kettle. Please use
a commercial descaling agent and follow the instructions that
come with the agent.
If any scale remains:
NOTE: Make sure kettle is cold when cleaning.

of the kettle thoroughly.
Fill the kettle with clean water up to the "MAX" level.
Boil the water and empty the kettle. Rinse the inside of the
kettle with clean water.
