Upgrade the BIOS and Cisco IMC Firmware

The following procedure describes how to upgrade the BIOS and Cisco IMC firmware on Cisco SNS-3515
and SNS-3595 appliances. We recommend that you upgrade the BIOS and Cisco IMC to the latest version
that is available for download on Cisco.com.
To check the version of BIOS and Cisco IMC that is currently running on your appliance:
1 Launch CIMC.
2 Click BIOS.
The running version is listed under BIOS properties.
When you upgrade the BIOS firmware, you must also upgrade the Cisco IMC firmware to the same

The active/active setting uses Mode 5 or Balance-TLB (adaptive transmit load balancing). This is channel
bonding that does not require any special switch support. The outgoing traffic is distributed according
to the current load (computed relative to the speed) on each slave. Incoming traffic is received by the
current slave. If the receiving slave fails, another slave takes over the MAC address of the failed receiving
slave.
