  • Page 9 Configuring the VuMATRIX Transmitters Take the VuMATRIX 4K IPTX transmitter and connect an internet cable into the Ethernet port. Take the other end of the cable and plug it directly into the Ethernet port on a laptop or desktop. Connect the power adapter provided to provide power to the Transmitter. You should see both lights blinking on the Ethernet port of the transmitter and the Ethernet port of the computer (some computer models do not have blinking lights on the Ethernet port of the computer).
  • Page 10 Right-click on the WIFI or LAN symbol and select open Network and Sharing Center. NOTE: If you are still unable to find the WIFI or LAN icon in your taskbar please follow the steps below. If you have found the WIFI or LAN icon, please continue to step 5. Only complete these steps if you are unable to locate the WIFI or LAN ICON in the taskbar Go to your keyboard HOLD DOWN the windows key FIRST and press the R button.
  • Page 11 Then Scroll down and locate the Network and Sharing Center Icon and click on it. In the Networking and Sharing Window click on Change adapter settings. Go to the WIFI icon and right click it. The Wi-Fi adapter window will open. Then select “disable” at the top of the window.
  • Page 12 Then go the Ethernet icon and right click it. On the Ethernet adapter window scroll to the bottom of the window and select “properties”. In the Ethernet properties window select the “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and then click on properties.

NOTE Before you start programming your transmitters, you need to fill out the included Transmitter Network Map.

  • Page 15 Once you have downloaded the software double click on the control center icon to open the control 4K over IP Control Center software. In the 4K VuMATRIX software click on the scan button in the top left corner of the window. Once the scan button is selected the IP address of the transmitter will be showing under the TX window.
  • Page 16 Go to the Control Software and select the IP address that is showing in the control software for the transmitter. The IP address is located here for the transmitter Under casting mode select Multicast and enter the Multicast IP address as shown in your Transmitter Network Map.
  • Page 17 Then select Static IP and enter in the IP address as shown on your transmitter network map. Enter in the IP address here Once the IP address is entered, select apply in the top right corner of the window. A pop-up window will appear asking you to reboot for new settings to take effect. Select yes. NOTE: Please wait for approximately 2 minutes after selecting reboot to allow unit enough time to restart.
  • Page 18 Then take a label or sticker and write the IP address of the transmitter and place it on the transmitter where it is clearly visible. This will help you troubleshoot any issues in the future if they may arise. Programming is complete for your transmitter. If you have more than one transmitter to program, go to the next transmitter and connect it to your computer as in step 1.
  • Page 19 Configuring the VuMATRIX Receivers NOTE Before you start programming your receivers you need to fill out the included Receiver Network Map. This will be your complete guide for programming all your receivers. The IP addresses will start at 192.168.0.151. Below is an example of a sample Receiver Network Map.   • Page 21 Once the scan button is selected the IP address of the transmitter will be showing under the RX window. The IP address will be located here for the receiver. Click on Multicast and select the default TRANSMITTER HOST ID to connect to at the start. DO NOT SELECT ZERO.
  • Page 22 Select static IP. Using the Receiver Network Map, Type in the IP address for the first receiver. Then select Apply. Enter in the IP address here Then take a label or sticker and write the IP address of the receiver and place it on the transmitter where it is clearly visible.
  • Page 23 Once all transmitters and receivers are programmed re-enable your Wi-Fi Adapter. Right-click on the Wi-Fi or LAN symbol and select open Network and Sharing Center (as in step 2 & 3 in Configuring the VuMATRIX Transmitters). In the Networking and Sharing Window click on Change adapter settings. Right-click on the Wi-Fi Adapter and select Enable.
  • Page 24 4K Over IP Channel Controller The 4K Over IP Channel Controller software allows you to change channels on your receivers through any device that is connected to your network. The following steps show you how to use the channel controller software. 1.
  • Page 25 4. Change the receiver names section under receiver names. Use your Receiver Network Map to help guide you in changing the names and match the IP addresses. The IP addresses must match your Receiver Network Map for the software to function properly. Any extra receivers that are not needed can simply be deleted from the text file.

After you finish editing all the receiver and transmitter names go to file and select save. ***** IMPORTANT NOTE***** The pvicontroller.ini file must be saved in a folder with the 4K Over IP Controller software. If the pvicontroller.ini is not saved inside the same folder the program WILL not work.
  • Page 27 8. Double click on the channel controller software. This will open the channel controller window. 9. Select the room or area that you want to change the channel on. 10. Then select the channel you would like to watch. 11. The channel will change to the selected channel.

    Advanced Settings USB over IP Address NOTE To enable USB over IP across your network all the transmitters and receivers must have the option enabled. Start with the transmitters and refer to the Transmitter Network Map. Then go to the receivers and refer to the Receiver Network Map. To access the advanced options please refer to Step 16 on Configuring the VuMATRIX Transmitters.
  • Page 29 Select the system tab on the top of the window. Click on the Utilities button. Then click the reboot button. DO NOT select the factory default button. The unit will reboot and the setup is complete. Repeat these steps for all the transmitters and receivers that you want to have USB over IP capabilities.
  • Page 30 Scroll down to the serial over IP settings. Make sure the enable serial over IP checkbox is enabled. Set the operation Mode to Type 2. Leave the default settings for the baudrate settings. (Only change these settings if you have experience in networking or knowledge in serial data transmission).

API/Automation To send API commands to your devices you can use many different applications to send and receive commands.

  • Page 33 API commands with PUTTY Open the Putty software on your computer. In the Host Name box enter in the IP address of the device you are trying to access through Telnet. The default port number is 24. Select Telnet option. Then click Open. The command line interface window will open as shown below.

Connect the HDMI cable to the video out of the media source (Cable Box, DVD Player, Computer, PlayStation, etc.).
  • Page 36 Receivers 4. Connect your receiver to the switch. 5. Then connect your HDMI cable to your HDMI IN on your television or projector. Then take the opposite end of the cable and connect it to the HDMI OUT on the receiver. 6.
  • Page 37 IR Extenders To use the IR extenders, take the IR-RX cable and connect it to the IR IN on the receiver. Then place the IR sensor on the front of your television Take the IR-TX cable and plug it into the IR OUT of the Transmitter. Place IR-TX sensor in front of media source (dvd player, cable box, etc..) and the IR extender setup is complete.
