To avoid accidents to property or people it is important to follow the instructions given. Failure to do so removes any liability from John Lewis. Warnings – Any installation work must be undertaken by a qualified electrician or competent person. -

Should the power supply cable need to be replaced, this must be carried out by an approved service engineer. John Lewis declines any liability should this safety measure not be observed. Before switching on, make sure the electricity supply voltage is the same as that indicated on the cooker hood’s rating plate. -

Care and cleaning Instruction Manual JLCHI701/JLCHI901 Note: Switch off and unplug the cooker hood before carrying out any 70cm/90cm Cooker hood cleaning or maintenance work. Clean the interior and exterior casing using a cloth with water and mild (neutral) detergent. -

To replace the charcoal filters: Instruction Manual JLCHI701/JLCHI901 1. Open the central panel (A). 70cm/90cm Cooker hood 2. Remove the aluminium filter by turning the handle towards the rear of the cooker hood and pulling the filter downwards. 3. Pull the tab to release the charcoal filter and remove it. -

1. Cut a hole in the bottom of the cabinet to hold the cooker hood. The dimensions of the hole are: – 252mm x 649mm (JLCHI701) – 252mm x 849mm (JLCHI901) Leave a minimum of 60mm of cabinet around the hole to avoid any damage during the installation. -

Insert the filters (see page 7). Connecting the exhaust pipe (filtering/recirculation) 9. Connect a pipe to the vent on top of the cooker hood. -
