2.3.2 Interfaces and Buttons
The interfaces and buttons of the HG556 are located on the rear panel and side panel, as
shown in Figure 2-3.

The rear panel of the HG556 is shown on the left side of Figure 2-3. The following
interfaces are located on the rear panel: ADSL, PHONE1, PHONE2,
LAN1–LAN4, USB, RESET, and POWER.
The side panel of the HG556 is shown on the right side of Figure 2-3. The USB
interface and the WLAN button.
The rear panel view and side panel view are for reference only. The actual
appearance may differ.
Function
Connects a splitter.
Connects a phone.
Connect PCs, switches, or other equipment.
Connects a power adapter.
