Use the flash.
Enable electronic VR.
Use a tripod to stabilize the camera (using the self-
timer at the same time is more effective).
The flash is reflecting off particles in the air. Set the flash
mode setting to y Flash off.
The flash mode is set to y Flash off.
Choose a style is set to a function that disables the
flash.
Digital zoom cannot be used when using certain
settings in other functions.
Turn sounds on or off in Change sounds is set to
Turn sounds off, or Pick a shutter sound is set to
z in the shooting menu.
Do not block the speaker.
Off is selected for AF assist in the camera settings
menu. AF-assist illuminator may not light depending on
the current settings, even when Auto is selected.
The lens is dirty. Clean the lens.
Hue is not adjusted properly.
The subject is dark and the shutter speed is too slow, or
ISO sensitivity is too high. Noise can be reduced by
using the flash.
The flash mode is set to y Flash off.
The flash window is blocked.
The subject is beyond the range of the flash.
Adjust exposure compensation.
The subject is backlit. Use the flash or Shoot backlit
scenes in Choose a style.
