    Operating Instructions Non-Contact Use 1 . Apply the reflective tape as close as possible to the outer edge of the object to be measured . 2 . Hold the tachometer in your hand, and press “MEAS” button . 3 . Point the laser spot at the object, and read the measurement on the primary display .

    Operating Instructions Contact Use 1 . Thread the contact adapter into the outlet on top of the tachometer . CAUTION: To prevent equipment damage, do not over tighten the adapter. 2 . Select an adapter . Slide it onto the contact adapter shaft, aligning the notch in the adapter with the pin on the shaft .

    Maintenance General Care • Use clean, compressed air to blow loose particles off the lens . Use a soft brush to remove remaining debris . Use a cotton swab moistened with water to wipe the lens surface . CAUTION: To prevent equipment damage, do not use solvents to clean the lens.
